A Thoughtful Collection for Home & Life
Roy May Hardware: Built To Last.
Opened by Roy May in 1934, May Hardware became a cornerstone of downtown McCall. More than a place to find tools and supplies, it was known for dependable service, neighborly advice, and a lasting connection to the community.
After Roy May, the Fereday family carried that legacy forward, eventually becoming the owners of May Hardware. Through generations of family ownership, the store has remained a familiar fixture in McCall, and the Fereday family continues to own and operate it today.
Now, that story is growing. House of Mae is the next chapter in the family's history, bringing new life to the original May Hardware building and expanding on the home and lifestyle side of the business. It's a natural extension of what the family has built, with a fresh perspective and a shared love for beautiful, thoughtful things.
Rooted in History, Made for Today
Sisters-in-law, Idaho natives, wives, and moms, Fallon and Patricia are part of the Fereday family behind May Hardware. Through their involvement in the family business, they've developed a shared appreciation for the community, the people, and the place that make McCall so special.
House of Mae grew from their shared love of home, thoughtful design, and finding beautiful, unexpected things. What began as an extension of May Hardware's home department has grown into a shop of its own. A place to bring together home decor, kitchen goods, meaningful gifts, and everyday favorites.
Inspired by mountain living and rooted in family history, they're excited to carry the story forward in a new way.
